New Certification for CryptoGuard Confirms Highest Encryption Level
CryptoGuard – Compumatica’s proven encryption solution for confidential networks – has once again been certified for restricted use. The evaluation by NL NSCA confirms that CryptoGuard meets the required standards. With encryption on OSI layers 2, 3, and 4, without tunnels or sessions, it remains the solution of choice for government and critical sectors.

Uden, September 1, 2025 – Compumatica secure networks proudly announces that its CryptoGuard solution has been recertified for use at the Restricted level. This new certification reaffirms that CryptoGuard continues to meet the strictest requirements for network encryption in government use, in a rapidly changing geopolitical climate. The certification is recognized by the NL NCSA, part of the Dutch General Intelligence and Security Service (AIVD), and is listed in the official register of approved products for the Dutch government. Government and critical infrastructure organizations can request deployment advice from the Unit Weerbaarheid. The current list of evaluated products can be found on the AIVD website.
According to Frank Voskeuil, CEO of Compumatica, the new certification highlights the importance of sovereign and future-proof security technology: “This certification confirms the trust that governments have placed in our solutions for decades. In a time of increasing geopolitical tensions, it is crucial that encryption products are not only technically strong, but also remain fully under our own control, free from dependencies or backdoors.”
Prepared for Tomorrow’s Threats
The latest version of CryptoGuard is not only designed to address today’s threats but also provides protection against future attack techniques, including those enabled by quatum computing. With this, Compumatica anticipates the growing need for Quantum Safe encryption for government and critical infrastructure.
CryptoGuard encrypts data at OSI layers 2, 3, and 4 using AES-256 and employs a unique encryption mode that minimizes latency and operates over existing networks without additional tunnels. This approach eliminates the need for expensive leased lines while maintaining maximum security.
Trusted at the Heart of Government
Since the 1990s, Compumatica has delivered certified encryption solutions to ministries, executive agencies, and other government bodies. For more than two decades, CryptoGuard has been the standard for line and network encryption within the Dutch and European government. This new certification underscores the longstanding trust in Compumatica’s technology and its independent assessment.
